Leviton – SBCPI-00S — VXC Coupler (Cat 6A)

The Leviton VXC Coupler connects two pieces of Cat 6A cabling to enable installation and testing of a permanent link or Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) while preserving flexibility to fine-tune final device placement. The coupler is Cat 6A component rated, works in UTP or shielded channels, requires no proprietary termination tools, and is NFPA-70 plenum rated for use in air-handling spaces.

Design Considerations

• Cable support required within 12 inches of installed coupler to reduce stress.
• Suitable for installation above a drop ceiling or other air-handling spaces.
• Can connect a horizontal cable to a single-ended patch cord to create an MPTL.
• Can be used as a single cable consolidation point.
